2008 Food Center and Feeding Programs

• Completed construction of Food Center.
• Food Center grand opening to the community May 16.
• Fed nearly 1,000 xenophobia refuges one week after the grand opening (God's grand opening).
• Started feeding about 500 kids one day a week; that number has grown to more than 1,400 a day.
• Food Center completed and passed the Pick ‘n Pay quality audit.
• Jepsa Bakery joined MCM to create a new line of bakery and bread products to support our feeding and sustainability goals.
• Local farmers provided produce and support for feeding from their harvests.
• Food Center partnered with the Peninsula School Feeding Association.
• Fed 3,000 people during the revival week from 7-11 September.
