2008 MCM HIV/AIDS efforts

Butterfly House

·         Wide base of support including many local contractors and funding support from Norway and the USA.

·         Successful pediatric patient care of 52 children with HIV.

·         Successful first community open house on 21 October.

·         Brand new building ready for grand opening on 2 November.

·         Successful merge with Drakenstein Palliative Hospice for effective joint operations beginning in November 2008.

Bowy House

·         Another great year of successfully caring for the most needy kids of our community.

·         Average population during the year of 17 kids.

·         Added building next door, air condition for the daycare area, staff salary increases and a vastly improved child education area.
